STRIDE WEEK | MARCH 5-11
During PISD Spring Break, FBP Students will have a few activities for you and your friends to come be a part of. Let's STRIDE into Spring in a big way! Here is the breakdown of events:
Sunday, March 5 // PARK DAY // 2:30-4:30 PM
Come hang out and have some fun in the sun at Longhorn Park!
Wednesday, March 8 // GAME NIGHT // 6-9 PM
Meet at FBP for a big night of games! We will start with pizza at 6, and jump into a night of activities at 6:30. Be ready for board games, card games, lawn games, and a huge tournament on the MEGA SCREEN with a grand prize for the winners.
Saturday, March 11 // LUNCH & SERVICE PROJECT // Noon-3:30 PM
We are going to end the week by serving others! The students will team up to pack boxes of food at the North Texas Food Bank on Mapleshade to help those in need.
*You must be 12 years old and will need to sign up in advance to be able to participate in this activity. Please refer to the instructions provided in the next section in order to sign up.
**We will meet at Rosa's Café on Coit at noon for lunch - Dutch treat (optional).
***Please plan to arrive at North Texas Food Bank by 12:50 so we can start on time.
There are two steps to volunteering at the North Texas Food Bank:
Step 1 - Create a volunteer account. See pages 5-17 of the NTFB Volunteer Guide below.
- Note that NTFB volunteers must be 12 years old. The platform they use is Galaxy, which requires users to be 13. A parent/guardian may sign for the students who are 12.
Students will need to begin the volunteer process and give a parent/guardian email address. Once the parent/guardian signs the waiver provided via email, the student may finish their volunteer registration.
