Dr. Robby Magee
Dr. Robby Magee joined our staff as Executive Pastor in 2020. He has served in ministry for more than 24 years, beginning at age fourteen as a weekly youth speaker for the youth group he attended. He also began leading music for his youth group and Sunday morning worship gatherings quickly thereafter. Robby attended Stephen F. Austin State University, earning the Bachelor of Business Administration in Marketing. This is where he also met his wife, Sarah. He went on to complete the Master of Arts in Christian Education and Master of Divinity from Southwestern Baptist Theological Seminary, and the Doctorate of Missiology from Western Seminary in Portland, Oregon. He is currently completing a second doctorate, the Doctor of Philosophy in Ministry/Church Revitalization from Midwestern Baptist Theological Seminary, Kansas City, MO.
Robby’s wife, Sarah, serves as Director of Special Education in a nearby school district, having completed the Bachelor of Deaf Education from Stephen F. Austin State University, and the Master of Educational Administration from Lamar University. The Magees have two children, and they share many ministry passions. Robby and Sarah were both raised in pastor’s homes, and they have both traveled extensively in mission-work and have experience in most, if not all, ministry capacities. Robby recently summarized his excitement to join our team, “FBC Plano is poised to build upon generations of ‘Faith all-stars’ who have gone before us, with the hope that we can reach the hurting with the Gospel of Jesus. This can only be accomplished with all hands on-deck, complete unity, and a common desire to love our neighbors in their journey to discover Jesus Christ.” His hobbies include golf, hunting, fishing, boating, woodworking, welding, barbequing, and spending time with family.
