We pave the way for preschoolers by guiding them to take their first steps toward faith. First Baptist Church of Plano provides opportunities for foundational Bible teaching in the lives of young children. These steps lead to a later decision for Christian salvation. We are committed to helping parents in building this foundation for faith.
Sunday Morning Sunday School
Sunday School is where it all begins. It introduces preschoolers to God and begins the process toward spiritual growth. Preschool Sunday School meets Sunday mornings from 9:45 a.m. to 10:45 a.m. The curriculum is Bible-based and age appropriate. Teachers guide preschoolers to make choices utilizing hands-on activities that promote Bible learning.
Extended Teaching Care (ETC) is provided for babies through the age of three for both Sunday morning worship services. This is an extension of Bible teaching time and is a ministry in which parents and church members serve.
252
252 is our Wednesday night worship program for three year olds (as of September 1, 2010) through sixth grade. 252 includes choir, Bible study, recreation, crafts, and more. 252 meets from 6:15 p.m. to 7:45 p.m.
Childcare for babies through the age of two, using the WEE Learn Curriculum, is provided from 6:15 p.m. to 7:45 p.m.
Mother's Day Out
Tuesdays and Thursdays from September through May are filled with laughter and learning from 9:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. This wonderful program is for Infants through Pre-Kindergarten. Christmas Camp
Need a few more hours to yourself this Christmas season? Infants through pre-kindergarteners are invited to join us from 9:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. December 1, 6, 13, and 15 as we celebrate and enjoy this special time of year with music, crafts, baking, and more. Registration is now being accepted for this fun event. There will be a $20 registration fee per child plus $80 per child for the camp. The deadline to register is November 18, 2010. MOPS
Mothers of Preschoolers meet each month on the 2nd and 4th Wednesday mornings from 9:15 a.m. to 11:30 a.m. MOPS provides a fun-filled morning of food, fellowship, guest speakers, discussion time and creative activity. Speakers and programs offer inspiration and information relevant to the mother of a preschooler. Find out more at the MOPS webpage.
Parents' Night Out
Parents' Night Out (PNO) is offered on specific Friday evenings from 7:00 p.m. to 10:00 p.m. for babies through 5th grade. Each fun-filled evening centers around a specific Bible concept taught through art, various gym activities, games, and snacks. The cost is $10 per child with a maximum of $25 per family, and the deadline to sign up for PNO is the Sunday before each event date. A PNO registration form is required for each event and a Medical Release Form is required once a year.
WeekDay School
The First Baptist Church of Plano WeekDay School provides a Christian childcare center where children ages six weeks through Pre-Kindergarten can receive developmentally appropriate care in a positive learning environment. Our program operates Monday through Friday from 7:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. We are licensed by the Texas Department of Family and Regulatory Services to care for 200 children.
