In 2009, First Baptist Church of Plano budgets 10.6% of undesignated gifts for missions endeavors and for distribution through the Cooperative Program.  The Collin Baptist Association www.Collinbaptist.com is a local mission endeavor.  Our Cooperative Program gifts are sent to the Baptist General Convention of Texas www.texasbaptists.org; 79% is used to for Texas Baptist ministries; the remaining 21% is allocated to worldwide missions of the BGCT, the Baptist World Alliance www.bwanet.org, the Cooperative Baptist Fellowship www.thefellowship.info, and the International Mission Board of the Southern Baptist Convention www.imb.org.

Many designated gifts for specific mission needs are distributed accurately and appropriately each year through the church Financial Office.

Our primary vehicle for giving—over and above the tithes and offerings that support our church operating budget—is the Annual Missions Offering.  You’ll find additional information regarding the 2008 and 2009 Annual Missions Offerings using the links to the left.
